Client Giant Review: Is Automated Client Gifting Worth It for Real Estate Agents?

If you've ever had every intention of sending a thoughtful closing gift, remembering a client's home anniversary, or staying in touch with past clients — and then got busy actually selling real estate — Client Giant might be worth a look.

Client Giant is an automated gifting and client-care service that handles the gift selection, packaging, shipping and timing for you.

I've always believed that staying connected with past clients is one of the best ways to build a referral-based real estate business. What I like about Client Giant is that it lets you create those memorable touches without creating another giant to-do list for yourself.

What Is Client Giant?

Client Giant is essentially a done-for-you client gifting service.

You add your clients, choose the type of gifting experience you want, and Client Giant handles the logistics behind the scenes.

For real estate agents, you can use it for things like:

  • Buyer, seller and investor transaction gifts

  • Ongoing past-client retention gifts

  • Birthdays

  • Home anniversaries

  • One-time gifts and special occasions

So it doesn't have to be just a closing gift. You can actually build Client Giant into your overall client experience and past-client nurture system.

How It Works

Getting started is pretty simple.

1. Add your clients.Enter the clients you want to include in your gifting program.

2. Choose your gifting experience.Select the program that makes sense — whether that's a transaction package, ongoing retention plan, birthday, home anniversary or individual gift.

3. Client Giant handles the rest. They take care of selecting and preparing the gifts, packaging, shipping and tracking.

4. You can still see what's happening. You can manage everything through your dashboard and see upcoming touches. You also have the ability to make changes when needed.

In other words, you get the benefit of a consistent gifting system without personally having to manage every gift.

What Your Client Actually Receives

This is one of the things I really like about Client Giant.

When a gift arrives, it's shipped in an unmarked box, so there isn't Client Giant branding plastered all over it. But when your client opens the package, the presentation itself is really nice and feels thoughtful and intentional.

They also include a personalized card from you inside the gift.

And there's another feature I think is pretty cool.

At the bottom of the card is a QR code your client can scan. That QR code takes them to a personalized mini webpage that you get to customize.

Your client can use that page to thank you and connect with you in other ways.

I especially like this because Client Giant stays behind the scenes. To your client, the experience feels like it came directly from you.

Here's a screenshot of my personalized page so you can see what clients see after scanning the QR code.

More Than Just a Closing Gift

Another feature I like for real estate agents is the ability to create multiple touches throughout a transaction rather than only sending something at closing.

Depending on the program you choose, gifts can be timed around different milestones in the transaction.

And I think that's important because the client experience isn't just what happens at closing.

It's everything that happens along the way.

Those unexpected little touches are often the things people remember most.

Staying in Touch AFTER Closing

This may actually be where I think Client Giant becomes most valuable.

We all know we're supposed to stay in touch with past clients.

But knowing that and consistently doing it are two very different things.

Client Giant offers ongoing retention gifting, along with options for things like birthdays and home anniversaries.

Instead of putting "Send anniversary gift" on your calendar and hoping you remember to actually do it, you can create a system that handles those touches for you.

And that's really the point for me.

Good systems make sure the things you intend to do actually get done.

The Pros 👍

It's automated.

This is the biggest benefit for me.

There are a million things we could be doing for our clients. The challenge is consistently finding the time to do them.

Once you've set everything up, Client Giant handles a lot of the execution for you.

It still feels personal.

Even though you've automated the process, the experience doesn't necessarily feel automated to your client.

The nice packaging, personalized card and customized QR-code page help make the gift feel like it's coming directly from you.

Packaging and shipping are handled.

No shopping for boxes. No tissue paper. No trips to the post office. No figuring out postage.

That alone has value.

It creates consistency.

Rather than remembering client gifts whenever you happen to think about them, you can turn gifting into a repeatable part of your client experience.

It helps you stay connected after closing.

For agents building a relationship- and referral-based business, this is a big one.

Automated gifting gives you another way to stay relevant to past clients without every interaction feeling like marketing.

The Cons 👎

It costs a little more than doing everything yourself.

This is probably the biggest downside.

At first glance, you might look at the cost of a gifting program and think, I could put together a gift myself for less.

And you probably could.

But I think you have to compare the actual cost of doing it yourself:

Gift + packaging + card + postage/shipping + your time.

By the time you factor all of that in, I don't think the price difference is nearly as significant as it initially appears.

You're essentially paying a little more to have someone else handle the entire process — and to know that it will actually get done.

For a busy real estate agent, I think that's worth considering.

QR code on the card is a little small.

One small issue I noticed is that the QR code on the personalized card is a little small, which can make it tricky to scan. I did mention this to Client Giant, and I believe they’re working on increasing the size—so this may already be corrected by the time you’re reading this!

So, Is Client Giant Worth It?

For me, the value of Client Giant isn't simply the gifts.

It's the automation.

I'm a big believer in creating systems around the things you want to happen consistently in your business. Because if something depends on us remembering to do it every single time, eventually we're probably going to get busy and forget.

Client Giant turns client gifting into a system.

You decide who you want to take care of.

They handle much of the how.

And you get to spend more of your time actually taking care of your clients and growing your business.

If you're looking for the absolute least expensive way to give client gifts, doing everything yourself will probably win.

But if you want thoughtful client touches to happen consistently without adding another job to your job, I think Client Giant is definitely worth checking out.
